My name is Keith Henderson and I was born in 1969. You can calculate my age.

I was a typical kid that grew up on the south side of Chicago. I played softball, football and other sports with the neighborhood kids. I was just the average kid. I never played organized sports in high school or college. I started going to the gym in 1992 but noting consistent. I had terrible eating habits (fast food every day, every meal) and was weak and soft. I couldn't dumbbell press 30 pound dumbbells.

In 1995 I went first amateur body building competition, there were some guys from my gym competing. I was hooked. I was determined to compete in that same competition the following year. I started reading and researching. Of course I wanted to be BIG and started trying to figure out what I should be eating and how I should be training. In 1996 I competed for the first time at an amateur level competition “Mr Chicago Lightweight” 155 pounds. There were others from my gym competing so I wasn't alone. I put in a lot of work in the gym and in the kitchen. I lost 20 pounds and put on as much lean muscle as I could. Well I didn't place in the top 5. I was in the best shape of my life, I HAD ABS AND I WAS VASCULAR. That made me work harder for the following year. In 1997 I came back and place 5th in lightweight out of 12 guys. YES!!!
